look for the day

This is what I wore a couple of months back when I was in cold weather..its a jacket I picked up from the thrift store, a bcbg cashmere sweater dress and a bcbg zip up sweater over it...the makeup was inspired by shirley from Meek n Mild I didn't do the full out look with the lashes or use the exact products but it was a jumping off point.

Hi all,
so as some may know,Im a singer. when Im not recording my own material I do a lot of studio work. I sing background for other artists..who need a chorus sung or some oohs and aahs. the most well known artist Ive sung a chorus for is probably Young Jeezy but lately ive been working with a lot of Reggae artists. some up and coming and also more established like: Mikey Spice(mwah),Marcia griffiths,and Freddie Mcgregor..and in costa rica ill be working with Pressure.
if your aren't into reggae then all of this is probably very boring to you!
But if you are,then it might interest you that the song I was working on today is about the all the crazy violence that has been going on in Jamaica this year. and its for a new Artist called 'Engee the Don'

Red White and Blue OOTD and FOTD

It is Blazing Hot in Miami these days and super humid. I dont really do shorts and skirts all that often so Jeans are really a staple for me. even in this weather..but its been soooo hot that the thought of putting on a dark pair of skinny jeans just makes me sweat thinking about it! maybe its just in my head but White jeans feel cooler. so this is a casual outfit I put together..with my favorite super soft,' just the right shade of blue' v neck t-shirt and my 'wear with everything casual but still dressed' heels and my new white jeans!

Im almost all packed up for my trip. I've promised myself I will take more pictures and some video this time. I always get to where I'm going and for some reason I cant be bothered and then I get back with only memories in my head of all that happened! this time it will be different..this way I can post the pictures and force my friends and family to look at my blog!

Here are the shoes..Lollipop26 mentioned that no one ever does a toe of the day, well..here is mine. thats Sinful Colors in 'Snow me White' with a coat of Seche vite over it.

Sinful colors are inexpensive and have lovely colors but its only about 2 times better than putting white out on your toes (or 'Twink' as we used to call it in high school in New Zealand) but the seche vite makes it look all Glossy.

rehearsal outfit and shiny lips!

as promised, if any one is interested here is what I wore to rehearsal. sometimes i enjoy getting dressed in casual clothes more than all fancy. here I have a bcbg jacket on with a max azria for Miley Cyrus t shirt I got from wal mart of all places. the color of it is really subtle and it has a slight tye dye effect. one of my new favorites makeup wise which im also wearing here is loreal hip jelly balm in Plush. its really hard to find these at the store lately..i got the last one at wal mart a few weeks ago. i know they are available on line. they give such a nice shine and a pretty color which is not too overwhelming.

(sorry for the sideways pic)my necklace was made by my brothers girlfriend.. it has dark colored pearls in it.

Outfit of the Day Airport.

I wore this to fly from California back to Atlanta Yesterday..can you believe on the way up Delta made me throw away my DDF Pumice scrub? and brand new sebastian leave in treatment and potion number 9?! that is criminal! oh well...just material things.

the top is A super soft and comfortable BCBG t-Shirt with adorable little puff sleeves and slits on the shoulder (which you cant see in the pic.) and great pleats in the front. its getting slightly worn but i dont think ill ever part with it. i wish i had it in 10 colors.
the skirt is a Liz Claiborne pleated Ikat print ..i love it cause its feminine and ethnic and it has great pockets that dont bulge at all when you put your blackberry in them.
and the boots are Isaac Mizrahi for Target which i got a couple of years ago and they have served me really well.
I also wore a dark wood bracelet with a gold chunky indian bracelet, my hair was a curly nest as i was rushing for the airport and i didnt take the time to do anything to it.. always a good look!
